MICHAEL BOZIC
Kmart Corporation

Michael Bozic is the retired vice chairman of Kmart Corporation. Kmart serves all 50 states with 2,160 Kmart, Big Kmart, and Super Kmart stores.

From 1995 through 1998, he served as chairman and chief executive officer of Levitz Furniture Corporation. Prior to joining Levitz, Bozic served as president and chief executive officer of Hills Stores Company, where he led a successful turnaround.

Earlier, Bozic spent 28 years with Sears, Roebuck & Company. He was the youngest president and chief operating officer of the $4 billion Canadian subsidiary, where profits tripled during his three year tenure. Later he served as chairman and chief executive officer of the Sears Merchandise Group, encompassing operations in the US, Canada, and Mexico.

In June 1994, Bozic was elected "Discounter of the Year" by subscribers of Discount Store News, one of the industry's leading trade journals and "Merchandiser of the Year" in January, 1995 from Mass Merchandising Review.

In addition to serving as a director on the board of Levitz Furniture Corporation, Bozic also serves on the boards of Dean Witter InterCapital, The United Negro College Fund, Eaglemark Financial Services (Harley Davidson Credit), and Weirton Steel Corporation.
