JOHN H. EYLER JR. Toys "R" Us John Eyler is chairman and chief executive officer of Toys "R" Us. Toys "R" Us is one of the world's largest toy retailers. Prior to joining Toys "R" Us in January 2000, Eyler was chairman and chief executive officer of FAO Schwarz. Previously, from 1989 to 1992, he had served as chief executive officer of the retail subsidiary of Chicago-based Hartmarx. He also has been the chairman and chief executive officer of MainStreet, a division of Federated Department Stores. Earlier, at May D&F in Denver, he served as president and chief executive officer after building his career as a merchandiser within other May Company divisions. Eyler serves on the board of directors of Donna Karan International. Eyler received a BS from the University of Washington and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
