ALBERT H. GORDON
The Gordon Fund

In 1931, as the Great Depression washed over the nation, Albert Hamilton Gordon and two partners acquired the venerable investment banking house of Kidder, Peabody & Co. Gordon was to lead the firm for the next half century.

He is the last of the legendary Titans of Wall Street, that handful of men who dominated the financing of American while building firms that were largely extensions of their personalities.

Now nearing his hundredth year, Al Gordon continues his passionate engagement with life with a daily trip to the office, extensive travel, and an exercise regimen that would (and regularly does) tire active people half his age.

One of the most admired figures on Wall Street and a tireless supporter of Harvard, Roxbury Latin, and a host of other institutions and worthy causes, he is a director of Sloan Kettering Hospital, The Americas Society, and the New York Road Runners Club.

Gordon is prominently featured in The Hero's Farewell by Jeffrey Sonnenfeld.
