GEORGE ROHR
New Century Holdings

George Rohr is president of New Century Holdings, which he founded in 1993. New Century Holdings has offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Riga, Almaty, Vilnius, Sofia, Bucharest, and Kiev. The company makes quoted and private equity and debt investments throughout the region.

Rohr’s interest in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe began as a result of an entrepreneurial opportunity he pursued in Russia in 1991. New Century was one of the earliest, and is today among the largest Western investors in Russia following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Rohr received an AB in economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Pamela, live in New York City with their four children.
