A LETTER
FROM DR. JEFFREY A. SONNENFELD
Dear
Executives and Administrators:
Whether you
are responsible for developing senior managers for executive committee
positions, or whether you yourself are an executive on the fast track,
you both share a common goal - to have the most prepared, experienced
and knowledgeable senior management team for your organization.
There are
many management training courses out there, but what I discovered in more
than 20 years as a management professor at Harvard, Emory, and Yale Universities
is that there was no short, intensive, hands-on, field-based program offering
intimate seminars with knowledge leaders from top universities around
the world specifically designed for top executives.
The Leadership
Exchange & Analysis Program (LEAP) is an intensive seminar requiring
only 10 days in total over six to eight months. Class size is small (no
more than 20 participants) to maximize group networking and interaction
with faculty. There are three parts to the program: a leadership forum
with many of the nation's top business scholars; a Leadership Exchange
where the participant visits the senior management team of another organization;
and a field exchange project which summarizes what's been learned and
is then presented to the executive's own company.
LEAP is unlike
any other program. It provides external perspectives and contextual learning
that complement the traditional classroom and corporate training experiences.
The program is smaller, more selective, shorter, and more customized to
individual executive needs than other university-based programs. It also
avoids the inherent conflict of interest that often plagues programs sponsored
by consulting firms.
LEAP was
designed for sustained partnership. We provide a platform that allows
executives and academic participants to communicate during and after the
program. I hope you will consider taking the LEAP.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jeffrey
A. Sonnenfeld
